Pocket Pirate Logo Development

Pocket Pirate is run and owned by Alys Williams - in her own description a craftsperson, hoarder, observer, and beachcomber. She has always had a desire to restore status to the neglected, rejected or overlooked. She uses reclaimed fabric and predominantly reclaimed leather to craft handmade bags, wallets and purses; pre-loved belts become bag straps, distinctive buttons are rescued from forgotten tins.

Alys asked me to redesign her logo, and we wanted to focus on combining the ideas of a patchwork of material, and pirate ship. I worked with her to develop this idea and then come up with the final logo which is now used across her brand.
